Our Client a growing manufacturer of engineered equipment and systems, looking for an adaptable Electrical Assembly & Test Technician to join our operations team. This role is hands-on, combining machine wiring, system testing, and general electrical support across production. Key Responsibilities
Build, wire, and assemble electrical systems for machinery and equipment.
Carry out functional checks, continuity testing, and fault-finding before release for use.
Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schedules, and component layouts.
Support workshop and site-based electrical tasks, including installations and upgrades.
Contribute to equipment improvement projects alongside production and engineering teams.
Maintain safe working practices and high standards of quality throughout all activities.

Skills & Experience
Previous experience in electrical assembly, machine wiring, or equipment build.
Ability to understand and follow electrical schematics and wiring documentation.
Hands-on knowledge of electrical components such as motors, drives, sensors, and control devices.
Practical problem-solving ability and confidence in resolving electrical issues.
Flexible approach, able to adapt between workshop and on-site tasks.
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.

Desirable
Formal electrical qualifications or equivalent practical experience.
Knowledge of electrical installation practices in industrial or commercial environments.
Familiarity with control systems, automation equipment, or software-based testing.
Exposure to equipment manufacturing, engineering projects, or technical build environments.

Welder/Fabricator

Multi-skilled Welder / Fabrication Engineer

A Multi-skilled Welder / Fabrication Engineer is required by a long established and respected engineering manufacturing company. This interesting and varied hands-on role involves building a range of food processing equipment for both UK and export clients.

Basic Function
Welding and fabrication in stainless steel material 1.0mm to 12mm thickness, including pipework and purge. TIG welding processes are utilised. You should have experience in reading engineering drawings, understanding tolerances and bend allowances, and operating fabrication and sheet metal machinery.

You must be able to work effectively within a team, either in the main production area or on client sites, with awareness of Health and Safety, production, inspection, and discipline requirements.

General Objectives and Responsibilities
Carry out quality engineering work both in the factory and on site.
Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, discipline, attendance, and timekeeping.

Qualifications
City & Guilds qualifications in Welding and Fabrication or an Apprenticeship in a recognised engineering environment would be an advantage.

Working Hours
39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a 10-minute morning break (10.00 am – 10.10 am) and a 30-minute lunch break (1.00 pm – 1.30 pm).
Monday: 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.00 pm
Tuesday: 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 4.30 pm
Wednesday and Thursday: 7.30 am – 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm – 5.00 pm
Friday: 7.30 am – 12 noon (unless working overtime)

Overtime is generally available, paid at 1.5 times the hourly rate Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. A reasonable amount of overtime may be requested by your Supervisor or Manager.

Rate of Pay
Dependent on experience.
